Eastern Florida State Advances to Semifinals of NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team punched its ticket to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament semifinals on Wednesday.
The Titans defeated Essex County 1-0 in the final Pool D game in Tyler, Texas to advance to the semifinals on Friday evening.
Eastern Florida State College sophomore Aedon Kyra scored the lone goal of the game with 10:26 left in the first half and the defense held off Essex County to record the shutout.
The fourth-seeded Titans will play Laramie County Community College Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the second semifinal.
No. 1 seed Monroe College will play No. 11 seed Illinois Central in the first semifinal.
The championship game will be at 7 p.m. in Tyler, Texas.
