Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey Unveils ‘Ivey League’ Endorsements for 2026 Election

2026 primary election is scheduled for Aug. 18

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey has announced his slate of endorsements for the 2026 election cycle, unveiling what he calls the “Ivey League,” a list of conservative candidates seeking local, state and federal office.

The endorsement list, released Tuesday, features candidates across a wide range of races, including Florida’s governor, attorney general, chief financial officer, agriculture commissioner, state Legislature, Brevard County Commission, School Board, judicial races and several municipal elections throughout Brevard County.

The campaign graphic carries the slogan, “Endorsed. Trusted. Ready to Lead,” and states that the candidates are committed to “protecting our communities, supporting law enforcement, promoting responsible government, and keeping Brevard County and Florida moving forward.”

Among Ivey’s statewide endorsements are:

•  Byron Donalds for Governor

• James Uthmeier for Attorney General

• Blaise Ingoglia for Chief Financial Officer

• Wilton Simpson for Commissioner of Agriculture

• Ashley Moody for U.S. Senate

His endorsements also include:

• U.S. Rep. Mike Haridopolos

• State Sen. Jake Johansson

• State Reps. Brian Hodgers, Monique Miller and Robert Brackett

For Brevard County races, Ivey endorsed:

• Micah Loyd for County Commission District 1

• Rob Feltner for County Commission District 4

• Megan Wright for School Board District 1

• Gene Trent for School Board District 2

• Michele McCormack for School Board District 5

• Randy May for Canaveral Port Authority District 5

In judicial contests, Ivey endorsed:

• Timi Tucker for County Court Judge, Group 3

• Robert Segal for Circuit Judge, Group 4

• George Gaspard for Circuit Judge, Group 13

The sheriff also backed several municipal candidates, including Ron Chabot (Cocoa City Council), Mike Jaffe (Palm Bay City Council), Herman Cole and Timmy Curtis (Titusville City Council), Pat O’Neil (Rockledge City Council), Diana Adams, John Dittmore and Helen Voltz (West Melbourne City Council), and Milo Zonka (Melbourne City Council).

Sheriff Ivey has become one of Florida’s most influential law enforcement voices in Republican politics and has previously endorsed Byron Donalds in the race for governor.

The 2026 primary election is scheduled for Aug. 18, with the general election set for Nov. 3.
