BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A true adventurer at heart, Ellen Pavlakos picked up everything she owned and moved from Athens, Greece to Florida’s Space Coast on a whim after falling in love with the area during a family vacation.
Pavlakos’ commitment to art began at a young age.
Growing up in Greece, her proximity to ancient, masterful sculptures had a profound influence on developing her love for and eventual career in sculpting.
When she visited the Space Coast before moving, Pavlakos was surprised by how friendly and supportive everyone she came across was.
“It’s very inspiring,” she said. “Every time I talk to another local artist we get ideas, our minds open up. I love the collaborative environment.”
