The Florida Highway Patrol has reported that Interstate-95 is shut down in both directions near U.S. 192 due to a vehicle crash and fire. Authorities urge motorists to avoid the area.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol has reported that Interstate-95 is shut down in both directions south of U.S. 192 due to a vehicle crash and fire Tuesday evening about 6:45 p.m.

First responders are on the scene fighting the fire as smoke is obscuring visibility.

Authorities urge motorists to avoid the area.
