Florida Tech’s Evan Thompson Receives All-Super Region 2 Honors from Don Hansen Football

Thompson has accumulated 204 career tackles over his first three seasons

Currently, Thompson ranks among the all-time greats in program history on the defensive half of the ball. BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Evan Thompson raked in yet another postseason award this week as he has been named to the Don Hansen Football Committee 2019 All-Super Region 2 Team.

Thompson received Third Team All-Super Region honors from Don Hansen Football giving him two career All-Region selections, both following the junior linebacker’s prolific season in 2019. He also received Second Team All-Region honors from the D2CCA.

The Clermont, Florida product earned a spot on the All-GSC First Team in 2019 after leading the league in tackles (89) as well as finishing in the top-8 in the conference in unassisted tackles (63), tackles for loss (13.0) and sacks (5.5). Additionally, Thompson recorded four quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble.

Currently, Thompson ranks among the all-time greats in program history on the defensive half of the ball. He has accumulated 204 career tackles over his first three seasons, which is third-most in program history.
