Rockledge Man Arrested For Killing Tyler Chapple Jr., Charged with First-Degree Murder

Willie Stewart, 61, arrested for Feb. 7 killing of Tyler Chapple Jr.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Rockledge Police have arrested a suspect for the death of Tyler Chapple Jr. that happened near Fiske Blvd. and Pluckebaum Rd. on Feb. 7.
The suspect arrested has been identified as 61-year-old Willie James Stewart from Rockledge.
Stewart has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The investigation began on Feb. 7 when Chapple was shot and killed around 12:30 p.m.
Stewart is currently in the Brevard County Jail. His court date is set for March 17 in front judge Kelly Ingram.
Court records reveal Irish Thomas, 33, was also arrested and charged with accessory in the murder of Tyler Chapple Jr.
