BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – Titusville Police Department has issued a traffic advisory and accompanying video for citizens and visitors ahead of the upcoming manned SpaceX Crew Dragon launch.

The Titusville Police Department’s highest priority is the safety of our citizens and visitors. We would like to update community members and those individuals who are entering the city to view the significant upcoming launch on traffic information and mapping.

The highly anticipated manned Space X Dragon Crew Capsule Launch is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27 at 4:33 p.m. Police want to advise motorists to slow down in launch viewing areas on U.S.#1, State Road 406 along the A. Max Brewer Bridge, and the surrounding park areas.

During this historic and exciting time, we want to remind motorists and pedestrians that road safety is a two-way street. Motorists and pedestrians should be highly alert and vigilant in a coordinated effort to keep the roadways safe!

Motorists, please be advised of heavy vehicle and pedestrian congestion and significant traffic delays are anticipated before and after the launch. Please slow down, put down distracting devices, and watch for pedestrians.

Pedestrians, look for oncoming vehicles and obey traffic laws by crossing roads at designated crosswalks when possible.

A multi-agency traffic exit plan has been developed to help with a safe exit from the City of Titusville after the Space X Dragon Crew launch.
