Two juveniles charged with Robbery and Theft

Titusville Police Detectives have arrested five male juveniles in connection with a robbery at a local apartment complex.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police detectives have arrested five male juveniles in connection with a robbery at a local apartment complex.

According to Public Information Officer Amy Matthews, officers responded to a report of a robbery at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16 at the Windover Oaks Apartment Complex, located at 1770 Windover Oaks Circle.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that an adult female victim was approached by two juveniles who forcefully stole her vehicle’s keys,” said Matthews.

“The two suspects fled from the scene on foot. The victim sustained no serious injuries.”

Minutes later and less than a mile from the Windover Oaks scene, police responded to a report from a Tennis Village resident who surveilled five juveniles hiding in the bushes near his home.

Matthews said officers then located the five hiding suspects and took them into custody without incident.

“Investigative evidence linked two of the suspects to the robbery at Windover Oaks and they were subsequently transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.”

The two juveniles were charged with Robbery and Theft. The three additional juveniles from the Tennis Village incident were charged with multiple misdemeanors which included Loitering and Prowling and Violation of Curfew.

Two of the juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and one juvenile was released to a parent.
