Jetty Park, Exploration Tower in Port Canaveral Closed Saturday and Sunday Due to Hurricane Isaias

Campers at Jetty Park must vacate area by Saturday at 12 p.m.

Jetty Park will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to likely impact of Hurricane Isaias.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral announced on Friday that Jetty Park and the Exploration Tower will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to likely impact of Hurricane Isaias.

All camping guests must vacate by Saturday at 12 p.m.

There will be no access to the beach or fishing pier.

A Hurricane Watch is now in effect for Brevard County, which means hurricane-force winds are possible somewhere within this area within the next 48 hours.

In addition, local State of Emergency has been declared for Brevard County on Friday in response to the pending threat of Hurricane Isaias, which is slowly edging toward Florida with a projected impact along the east coast starting Saturday morning through late Sunday evening as a Category 1 hurricane.

Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency on Friday.
