PETER CRANIS: Businesses have been back open for a few weeks now and we are hearing of more COVID cases in the county and the key is being smart and safe while encouraging our guests to enjoy our properties, facilities and outdoor amenities.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Businesses have been back open for a few weeks now and we are hearing of more COVID cases in the county and the key is being smart and safe while encouraging our guests to enjoy our properties, facilities and outdoor amenities.

Please make sure you are doing your part to keep your business safe and following CDC guidelines – the last thing anyone wants is another shutdown.

That being said, early indications are the last two weeks of May and the four weeks of June were showing steady improvement over April and early May.

We are continuing to promote the destination as long as the government keeps us open so we hope that trend will continue. Stay safe and let’s keep getting back to business!

■ Closed Spaces. Avoid closed spaces with poor ventilation that could allow contagious droplets to linger in the air.

■ Crowded Places. Avoid crowded places with many people nearby; the greater the number of individuals in an area, the greater the chances of COVID-19 spreading from person-to-person.

■ Close-Contact Settings. Avoid close-range conversations and stay at least six-feet from others.”
