UCF Knights Otis Anderson Named to 2020 Athlon Sports All-America Team

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (UCF Knights) – UCF’s Otis Anderson was named to the 2020 Athlon Sports All-America Team on Wednesday.
The Jacksonville native garnered fourth team honors as a punt returner. Earlier this month, he was named a Phil Steele Preseason Third Team All-American as a return man.
Anderson found his name on Athlon’s preseason all-conference team as both an all-purpose back and punt returner in June. He had 21 punt returns for 277 yards, including an 87-yard touchdown last season and was named first-team all-conference as a punt returner by Pro Football Focus.
Athlon Sports’ All-America Teams are based on how players will perform in 2020. Career statistics and previous awards matter in player evaluation, but choosing players for the 2020 All-America team and all-conference teams is largely based on predicting and projecting the upcoming year.
