BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Sheriff Wayne Ivey, along with Mayor Kathy Mehan, had the honor to meet with Veteran James Urban at the Melbourne City Hall, where he was starting a 10-day bicycle journey to Washington DC.
James is an adventure enthusiast and philanthropist who is combining his love for fitness, mental health and well-being with his passion to help and serve other veterans who suffer with depression and possible suicidal thoughts.

His goal is to raise $5 for each mile he will be riding on his journey to Arlington Cemetery.
James departed this morning from Melbourne City Hall and will be riding his bicycle on a 1001 mile journey from Melbourne to our nation’s capital, finishing the trip at Arlington National Cemetery in honor of our nation’s heroes who have served our country and who have given their lives for our freedom.
James is supported on his trip by his “chase team” that consists of his wife and family who will be following him all along the way to show how much they believe in him and his mission.
