(24/7 Sports) – Temple’s new punt returner has been to the Rose Bowl, the Sugar Bowl (twice), and the CFP National Championship Game.

He spent four years as a standout walk-on for the Georgia Bulldogs and got into four games over the past two years. On the field, his college career consisted of five touches.

Willie Erdman came to Temple this summer to play football.

And yet, when he got his first two chances to touch the ball in last Saturday’s game at Memphis, Erdman wasn’t so anxious that he tried to make a play that wasn’t there. His first two touches wearing a Temple uniform were fair catches.
