Titusville Police Arrested Malcolm Jackson in Connection with Shooting Death Friday Night

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE – Titusville police officers arrested Malcolm Lamar Jackson, 25, of Titusville in connection with the shooting death of an adult male Friday evening.

Jackson was charged with Manslaughter.

On Friday, October 23, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Titusville police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Olive Avenue and Bridge Street.

“Officers arrived on scene and found the victim lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound,” said Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased at 6:54 p.m.”

Matthews said the preliminary investigation has revealed the victim and suspect knew each other and had a previous altercation that evening.

Jackson was located at the scene by police, taken into custody without incident and booked into the Brevard County Jail.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
