BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Zone C general gun season opens on lands outside of the Florida wildlife management area system tomorrow.

Zone C is the largest hunting zone, encompassing the central and northern parts of the state.

Deer hunting provides hunters with opportunities to immerse themselves in the outdoors as well as being a pathway to clean eating. Connect to nature through hunting and learn how to get started.

Deer hunting is a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors and spend time with friends and family. And, when knowledge, skills, and luck come together for a successful hunt, there’s a healthy and delicious wild game meal to enjoy.

It’s also affordable. All you need to deer hunt is a gun or bow, a treestand or ground blind, and land to hunt on – and Florida is blessed to have one of the largest wildlife management area (WMA) systems in the country at nearly 6 million acres.

Plus, we provide free options for learning about firearms safety, deer hunting tips, and conservation at one of Florida’s hunter safety courses.

When you buy your hunting license and related permits you’ll be giving back to conservation by contributing to the management of our native wildlife and their habitats.
