Brevard County Sheriff’s Agents Conducting Investigation After Fatal Shooting on Merritt Island

Shooting happened on Barcelona Boulevard, name of victim has not been released

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning at a residence on Barcelona Boulevard on Merritt Island. The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of the victim and suspects at this time and no arrests have been made.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning at a residence on Barcelona Boulevard on Merritt Island.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tod Goodyear, all parties involved in the incident are accounted for and there is no threat to the community.

“Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently in the process of interviewing the involved persons and collecting evidence,” said Goodyear.

The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the names of the victim and suspects at this time and no arrests have been made.
