Titusville Police Arrest 23-Year-Old Man After Shooting Victim Multiple Times Near Olive Street

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested 23-year-old Titusville resident Kyle Patrick Lawson who shot a man several times in a deliberate attempt to kill him.

Lawson was charged with Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree.

On Saturday, February 13, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Titusville Police responded to a report of shots fired on the 900 block of Wager Avenue.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect had a verbal altercation with the victim, which resulted in the suspect shooting the victim several times and immediately fled the scene on foot.

“Officers located the suspect within hours, matching the description provided by witnesses on the 900 block of Olive Street,” said Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

The suspect, who was in possession of a concealed .40 caliber handgun, was positively identified and taken into custody.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Lawson was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.

This remains an ongoing investigation and more details will be released by detectives upon its conclusion.
