This exciting event is being hosted at Space Coast Daily Park March 12-14 with activities set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day, including a spectacle called the “balloon glow” where every hot air balloon lights up like a lantern as the sun goes down.

Hot air balloons will be returning to Space Coast Daily Park this Spring following the decision to move the successful Space Coast Daily Balloon Glow Festival to March after the sold-out successful first-year event in 2020.

More than a dozen balloons are expected to take part, with the addition of a limited number of one-hour balloon flights at sunrise.

The Space Coast Daily Balloon Glow Festival was completely sold out in December 2020, and organizers urge guests to get their tickets early. The event will once again be a limited capacity due to Covid-19 protocols.

“There is just something magical about hot air balloons that brings people together, and given the year we have had, that is something we need right now,” said Patrick Fogue, who flies corporate balloons for Pepsi, IMTS and Marvin Windows.

The event is operated by Delaware-based Easy Events Group Inc., the largest operator of hot air balloon events in the country. CEO Richard Garvie said that he is excited to bring the event back to the Space Coast.

“We are very pleased to be working with the team at Space Coast Daily Park again and Viera is such a great location for The Balloon Glow Tour –  we were super impressed by the turnout last year. We have decided to move this event to the Spring to hopefully enjoy some warmer temperatures and there will be a few small changes to the layout and concept but all in all we are just excited to return with a bigger, better event.”

Balloon Director Pat Fogue was equally excited to return.

“Space Coast Daily Park in beautiful Viera, Florida is a great place to fly balloons and we are excited to get some balloons up at sunrise each day. March is a better time of year to actually go flying, so we are excited to get back to the Space Coast and get some balloons in the sky!”

The event will also feature four special shape balloons owned by local hot air balloon pilot John Cavin.

The 2020 balloon festival was completely sold out each day, with many local hotels also sold out. More than one million people were reached by event social media channels alone.

The event will also feature four special shape balloons owned by local hot air balloon pilot John Cavin.

Giles Malone, Partner with Space Coast Daily said: “Our Space Coast community welcomed our balloon glow event in December tremendously, selling it out for three nights and with our spring weather, we felt it would be super to have the balloons back for more people to enjoy.”

“This will also be a great boost for our local economy as it will draw lots of visitors for the three days.”

Tickets for the event are $9.95 per person with children 14 and under free of charge. Free parking is available at Viera High School with a limited number of premium parking spots available on site for $49.95 which includes admission for all guests inside the vehicle.

Tethered rides and sunrise balloon flights are also available via the website at www.balloonglowtour.com
