New Life Mission programs empower families to become self-sufficient

WATCH: Through education, accountability and goal advancement, New Life Mission programs empower families to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of homelessness.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Melbourne, Florida attorneys at Platt Hopwood Russell & Cole hosted and sponsored a fundraising event recently for New Life Mission that raised more than $9,000 for the organization that provides assistance to homeless mothers and children to become self-sufficient.

A sponsor for the event since 2015, Platt Hopwood Russell & Cole attorneys Tiffani Cole and Billie Jo Hopwood, along with attorney Joan Nassar, sponsored the private social hour at Frigates Waterfront Bar and Grill located on N. Harbor City Boulevard.

“We were excited to sponsor this event again for New Life Mission,” said Hopwood.

With a tremendous amount of community support, New Life Mission, formerly Brevard Rescue Mission, was founded in 2008.

Through education, accountability and goal advancement, New Life Mission programs empower families to become self-sufficient and break the cycle of homelessness.

“We believe empowerment leads to self-sufficiency,” said New Life Mission Founder and CEO Stacia Glavas. “In contrast to a handout, we believe in equipping and inspiring families to fulfill their God-given purpose.”

Space Coast Daily honored the organization with a Central Florida Humanitarian award in 2019.
