BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Rockledge Raiders baseball team won the Class 4A District 8 Title on Thursday after defeating the Satellite Scorpions 4-3 in dramatic fashion with a walkoff run scored in the bottom 7th inning ti claim the district title.

The Raiders (23-2) were led by senior Julian Balzer, who recently signed a letter of intent to play at UCF next year, who was 2-for-3 at the plate and scored one run. Rockledge senior pitcher Brady Skradsky pitched 5-2/3 innings, allowing only one hit and struck out eight Scorpions on the night.

Junior Brayden Bell led the Satellite Scorpions (17-6) in the statistical category after going 2-for-3 and one RBI.

The win by Rockledge extended their winning streak to 14-games.

Both teams are set to play a region quarterfinal games next Thursday.

Rockledge will host their region quarterfinal game, while Satellite will have to travel on the road for their game.
