The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation in connection to a body that was discovered in the Banana River, east of Morningside Drive in Merritt Island, by a boater at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation in connection to a body that was discovered in the Banana River, east of Morningside Drive in Merritt Island, by a boater at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently in the process of conducting interviews and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
