BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This afternoon I am very proud to announce that the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was once again recognized as one of the top agencies in the country by U.S. Veteran’s Magazine as part of their “Best of the Best 2021” initiative.

“Best of the Best” recognizes the top veteran friendly Government and Law Enforcement agencies from across the country for their commitment to providing opportunities to America’s veterans.

The goal of the annual evaluations is to not only bring the latest information and guidance to U.S. Veteran’s magazine readers, but to also encourage active outreach and diversity policies among corporations and government agencies.

The mission of the U.S. Veterans Magazine is to open up immediate, lucrative employment, business and supplier opportunities for veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, and veteran business owners within the government, as well as corporate America.

U.S. Veteran’s Magazine focuses on culture and policies that cater to military veterans and when compiling the annual “Best of the Best,” evaluates each entity for their efforts to connect with veterans while providing an environment designed for success.

The agencies that are identified as “Best of the Best 2021” demonstrated the most accommodating practices and environments for veterans in the Government and Law Enforcement arena.

I could not be more proud of our Career Development Unit and our Human Resources team for all they do to make certain that we recruit, retain and support those that have previously and currently served their country in the United States Armed Forces!!

Our nation’s veterans are loyal, resilient, diverse, disciplined and heroic in their protection of our nation and our community. They possess teamwork skills and real life experiences that are unique and highly valued and I can’t thank them enough for their devotion, service and sacrifice to our country, our community, and our citizens.

We are honored to do everything possible to make them a part of our BCSO family so they can continue to do what they do best…protect our citizens and our way of life!!
