No. 4 Ranked Eastern Florida Women’s Soccer Battle Against LSU-Eunice Ends in 1-All Draw

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team tied LSU-Eunice in a battle of ranked teams in Pensacola on Saturday.

The fourth-ranked Titans and No. 14 Bengals battled to a 1-1 draw. It is the second time this season that the Titans have played to a tie.

Courtney Jade Butlion opened the scoring, giving the Titans a 1-0 lead in the match. It was the second goal of the season for Butlion.

But LSU-Eunice would tie the game, eventually sending it to overtime.

Defensively, Lydia Carroll, Marthe Taugbol, and Jessica Debiasse were standouts, making sure the Titans earned a tie.

Eastern Florida State College (1-1-2) will open the Region VIII schedule on Sept. 25, traveling to Daytona State College for a 7 p.m. match.
