Eastern Florida State, Palm Beach State to Host Virtual Ransomware, Online Scam Forum on Oct. 15

In support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Eastern Florida State College and Palm Beach State College have partnered to provide a virtual forum on The State of Ransomware and Online Scams. (EFSC image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Eastern Florida State College and Palm Beach State College have partnered to provide a virtual forum on The State of Ransomware and Online Scams.

The online event is slated for Friday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It is free, open to the public, and aims to educate participants about cybersecurity.

Industry insiders sharing their expertise include Tony Balzanto, Verizon’s Manager of Digital Forensics and Cyber investigations, and Miguel Castellanos, FBI Special Agent.

Students from EFSC and PBSC will also make Cybersecurity presentations.

A question and answer session will follow the presentations.
