Florida Tech Panthers Women’s Rowing Brings Home Two Medals at Head of the Charles

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech opened the 2021-22 season with a strong showing at the Head of the Charles Regatta with two medal finishes.

The duo of Liz Weber and Ismini Noni took home gold in the College Championship Doubles with a time of 20:49.770, holding off University of Calgary Rowing Club (UCRC), NY Maritime, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Penn AC won the overall event at 18:57.794, 1:51 ahead of the Panthers placing the duo 9th.

Competing in the Collegiate Four Tech placed 3rd with a time of 19:06.248, just a mere 10 seconds behind the second-place crew and SSC rival Barry.

UCRC took home first in the 32-entry field at 18:34.740.

Florida Tech is back in action on Nov. 13 at the Head of the South Regatta on the Savannah River in Augusta, Ga.
