Melbourne Police Arrest Convicted Felon Found in Woods with Loaded 12-Gauge Shotgun

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department has arrested a convicted felon over the weekend after she was found with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun.

Police received a call from an anonymous complainant who advised 36-year-old Stephannie Al Jawabra was in the woods on the east side of the Marathon Gas station near Eau Gallie and I-95.

When officers arrived on scene, they set up a perimeter and conducted a search of the area when they located a tent in the woods.

Al Jawabra was located inside the tent with a loaded 12-gauge shotgun in her hand.

Al Jawabra was taken into custody without incident and arrested on the Felony warrant along with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Al Jawabra has criminal offenses dating back as far as 2011 that include Battery Domestic Violence, Grand Theft and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Her court date is set for Nov. 23 before judge Lisa Davidson.
