Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Launch Death Investigation After Man Shot Dead in Mims

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation that occurred Saturday afternoon on Gray Lane in Mims.
Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 3 p.m. after a 911 call was received advising a person had been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies also learned that a second male subject was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
That person is being treated for his wound and is currently in stable condition.
Agents from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units are currently in the process of interviewing potential witnesses and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the name of the people involved in the incident at this time and no arrests have been made.
