UPDATE: Titusville Police Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting on Rock Pit Road

Crime scene involved nearly 30 people participating in verbal and physical dispute
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police detectives continue to investigate the shooting death of a Titusville man that occurred early Sunday afternoon.
Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews said officers responded at approximately 1:30 p.m. to calls for service in reference to an altercation and reports of shots fired on the 500 block of Rock Pit Road.
“Officers arrived and secured the scene, which involved nearly 30 people participating in verbal and physical dispute, and located an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds lying on the ground,” said Matthews.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced deceased at the scene and there were no other reported injuries.
The suspects are still at large and this is an active ongoing investigation.
