Titusville Police have released the identity of a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle last Wednesday night on US-1 near 4200 South Washington Avenue.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have released the identity of a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle last Wednesday night on US-1 near 4200 South Washington Avenue.

The investigation has revealed the victim, identified as Suzanne Kay Forbis, 69, of Titusville, was crossing US-1 when she was struck by a black 2011 GMC Sierra truck, driven by 24-year-old Amanda Mae Burke.

Forbis was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m. on Thursday.

There were no other injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
