WATCH: The Rockledge Raiders basketball team is hosting the Eau Gallie Commodores in the FHSAA Class 5A District Championship on Space Coast Daily TV. Space Coast Daily’s Juan Rodriguez and Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong are on the call.
BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Rockledge Raiders basketball team defeated the Eau Gallie Commodores 54-52 in the Class 5A District Championship for the third straight season.
Rockledge Raiders junior shooting guard Trenton Connolly led the way scoring-wise with 15.
Senior guard for Rockledge Qmari Phillips finished the game with 11 points.
The entire game was back and forth and ended up coming down to the wire. Commodores faced foul trouble in the end, leading scorer on the season for Eau Gallie Jake Hilliard ended up fouling out in the final minutes.
The Raiders now advance in the FHSAA playoffs and will play next Thursday. Their opponent is yet to be announced.
