Chief Jeff Pearson of Satellite Beach also serves on the commission
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past Friday afternoon, I was honored to learn that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had appointed me to serve on Florida’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
The Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission manages certification for officers, instructors and criminal justice training schools; defines minimum employment requirements for criminal justice disciplines; develops criminal justice training schools and their curriculum, and establishes disciplinary rules for officers in high-risk assignments.
With this recent appointment that allows me to serve on the commission, Brevard County will now have two agency heads serving on the nineteen member Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission, as I will be serving alongside Chief Jeff Pearson of Satellite Beach who was also reappointed this past week by Governor DeSantis as well.
I am extremely grateful and honored to serve on the commission as the members are responsible for helping steer the future of Florida’s Criminal Justice System and it’s Law Enforcement Officers, as we all work together to keep Florida one of the safest states in the country.
