(NFL.COM) – Former Holy Trinity Tiger and Florida Gator, and 2018 Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame inductee Marcus Maye has signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints where he will join fellow Brevard native Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in the defensive backfield.

The Saints are signed the former New York Jets safety to a three-year, $28.5 million deal with $15 million guaranteed, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported.

Having sought a long-term pact with the Jets, Maye had the franchise tag applied and then suffered a season-ending Achilles tear. He finds a fresh start in NOLA and the long-term deal he was looking for.
