Eastern Florida State College Men’s Tennis Player Salva Mulet Opens National Tournament With a Win

Mulet defeated SW Illinois' Manaye Mossman 6-0 and 6-1
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis player Salva Mulet picked up a win Monday morning in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Plano, Texas.
The sophomore won his opening match Monday morning at No. 2 singles to advance to the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
Mulet defeated SW Illinois’ Manaye Mossman 6-0 and 6-1 after a late start due to overnight storms.
Mulet, who is ranked No. 11 nationally in singles, will advance to play No. 2 seed Santiago Hidalgo of Weatherford Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. Hidalgo had a bye and went 11-2 this season.
All six singles players will be in action for the Titans on Tuesday, as well as the three doubles teams.
