BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Rapuluchi Ngorka was named to the NJCAA First Team All-America Team.

The freshman from Madrid, Spain is the first women’s basketball player in program history to be named to the first team All-America team.

“Favor (Rapuluchi Ngorka) earning First Team All-American is a reflection of her teammates and all of her hard work, will to compete and grit,” Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball coach MJ Baker said. “What an incredible honor and I’m so proud of her.”

Ngorka and the Titans reached the Elite Eight of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament in their first appearance and the forward was named to the NJCAA Division I National Championship All-Tournament team after averaging 11 points and 11 rebounds per game in the three games of the tournament.

It was also a school record and her career-best for rebounds in a game.

For the season Ngorka had 18 double-doubles which tied former Titan Trudy Walker for the most in a single season.

Averaged 13.6 points and 13.2 rebounds a game in her first season with the Titans and finished the season with 422 rebounds which is also a program-best.

Ngorka was also named to the FCSAA/Region 8 All-Tournament team and was the Central Conference Player of the Year this season.
