Melbourne Police Arrest Antravious Duran McRae, 18, After Warrant Finds Suspect in Possession of Cocaine and Marijuana

Warrant found 20 dogs chained up on the property

Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with the assistance from the Melbourne Police Department SWAT Team and Patrol Officers, conducted a search warrant at 1806 Southland Avenue in north Melbourne that resulted in the arrest of 18-year-0ld Antravious Duran McRae.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit, along with the assistance from the Melbourne Police Department SWAT Team and Patrol Officers, conducted a search warrant at 1806 Southland Avenue in north Melbourne that resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Antravious Duran McRae.

The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into a community complaint of illegal drug activity at this address.

During the operation, detectives located and seized 1 loaded handgun, 28.7 grams of cocaine, and 8.1 grams of marijuana.

Additionally, detectives discovered 20 dogs chained up on the property, who appeared to be poorly cared for and Brevard County Animal Control was requested to assist at the property.

Their investigation resulted in 56 civil citations being issued.

McRae was booked into the Brevard County Jail and charged with the following:

POSSESSION OF COCAINE W/INTENT TO SELL
POSSESSION OF COCAINE
RESISTING WITHOUT VIOLENCE
POSSESSION OF CANNABIS LESS THAN 20GM
