Three Eastern Florida State Volleyball Players Sign with 4-Year Schools to Continue Academic, Athletic Careers

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Three Eastern Florida State College volleyball players have signed up to continue their education and playing careers with four-year schools.

Janleen De Jesus has decided to continue playing at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona.

The setter from Kissimmee finished her two seasons at Eastern Florida State College with 595 assists and 263 digs.

She will join the Wildcats playing NCAA Division I volleyball in the Southwestern Athletic Conference next fall.

Desiree Cruz will continue her education and play for NCAA Division II Bloomfield College.

The 6-0 middle blocker from Humacao, Puerto Rico had over 100 kills in each season with the Titans, finishing with 224. She also eclipsed 100 total block in her two seasons.

Giselle Giraud will attend Daemen College to play for the Wildcats, an NCAA Division II program in Amherst, NY. The 5-11 outside hitter from Orlando made the second team all-Suncoast Conference team.

Giraud finished with close to 500 kills in her two seasons, finishing with 495 as well as 350 digs in 37 career matches.
