BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Emergency Rental Assistance Program, administered through the County’s Department of Housing and Human Services, will no longer accept applications effective Thursday, August 31.

Housing and Human Services will use the month of September to finish processing applications that have already been submitted, and then the first round of funding for the Rental Assistance Program will completely end on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.

The second round of funding (ERA2) will be administered through up to six community agencies partnering with the County beginning in October 2022.

ERA2 assistance is similar to ERA1 but will allow for up to 18 months of accumulative assistance (ERA1 months of assistance + ERA2 months of assistance).

Once that process is announced, those in need of assistance will be able to apply through the partnering agencies that will be announced in the weeks ahead for the ERA2 program.
