BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The delay caused by Hurricane Ian didn’t stop Grandparents Raising Grandchildren from having a successful 7th Annual Child First Golf Tournament.

The tournament was held on Saturday, October 8, and raised more than $13,000 for this great cause.

Sixty-eight golfers on 17 teams participated and registration ran smoothly again, allowing the golfers to hit some range balls, do a little putting and enjoy breakfast.

Teen volunteers Cole, Cash and Vinny, as well as some of the GRG clients, helped the golf committee from start to finish.

Not every tournament has a “theme,” but GRG believes it adds some extra fun. This tournament was Luau-Themed and their spring tournament is Space-Themed.

Prizes donated by Turtle Creek were awarded for the first, second and third place teams as well as for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and the Putting Contest.

Every golfer received a door prize. Complimentary team photos are taken at the putting green.
