PUBLIC SERVICE: Palm Bay Police Officer Steve Hill Retires After 25 years of Dedicated Service

Was assigned to many units, served with skill and dedication in variety of positions
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Officer Steve Hill has retired after 25 years of dedicated service to the community and its citizens.
“Congratulations are in order for Officer Hill, who will step into the life of retirement,” said a Palm Bay Police Department spokesperson.
Officer Hill has served nearly 25 years of dedicated and selfless service to the citizens of Palm Bay. Prior to that, he served honorably protecting our nation as a United States Marine.
Throughout Officers Hill’s career, he has been assigned to many units and served in a variety of positions.
Some of those include serving as a field training officer, corporal, detective in the Special Victims Unit and Major Case Unit, SWAT Sniper, and a member of the Honor Guard Team and Underwater Recovery Team.
He also served on a task force with the U.S. Marshals Service assigned to the Fugitive Task Force for several years.
Officer Hill has been an FDLE-certified instructor specializing in firearms and emergency vehicle operations since 2005.
“Although he is taking a wealth of knowledge and experience with him, we are extremely grateful for his dedication and commitment to serving our community,” said a Palm Bay Police Department spokesperson.
“Please join us in wishing Officer Hill all the best as he enters retirement and thanking him for his many years of service to the City of Palm Bay.”
