Two People Dead, One Injured After Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Melbourne Sunday Night

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a fatal crash crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle Sunday night near the area of Sarno Road and Croton Road.
Police say the crash happened at approximately 6:17 p.m.
When officers arrived at the crash scene, they discovered that both motorcyclists had life-threatening injuries from the crash.
The motorcycle driver, Daniel E. Revels, 33, from Melbourne, was declared dead at the crash scene.
The motorcycle passenger, Courtney L. Hamilton, 30, from Malabar, was transported to Melbourne Regional Hospital where she succumbed to those injuries.
The vehicle driver was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The initial investigation reveals that the vehicle, a Buick sedan, was traveling westbound on Sarno Road. The motorcycle was eastbound on Sarno Road.
As both vehicles entered the intersection at Croton Road, the Buick attempted to turn south in front of the motorcycle.
The crash is still under investigation.
Police say it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash.
