BCSO donates two 3-month-old bloodhound pups
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Wednesday, I had the honor along with several members of our BCSO K-9 Unit to make a special delivery of two beautiful Bloodhound puppies to the Brevard Zoo.
The special delivery was part of the newly established partnership between our agency and the Brevard Zoo that creates a “Bloodhound Exhibit” in the Farmyard area of the Zoo where kids and parents can interact with the Bloodhounds ,while also learning about safety, how Bloodhounds track, and even protecting themselves from being the victim of a Child Abduction.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is donating the two 3-month-old pups to our great partners at the Brevard Zoo and we could not be more excited to be part of this brand new exhibit.
A huge “thank you” to Director Keith Winsten of the Brevard Zoo and his entire team for making this happen, our K-9 Unit for all they have done to prepare the pups for the transition, and of course “Daisy Mae,” for being such a great mom to these pups!!
I can’t wait to see the new exhibit which will be opening in just a few weeks!!
