Camera Club of Brevard Announces New Officers, Presents Monthly Programs for Members

Camera Club of Brevard open for membership to any photography enthusiast, regardless of skill level

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — New and some not-so-new officers have been elected for 2023-2024 for the Camera Club of Brevard.
John Buck returns as president after holding the office from 2016 to 2019. Buck has dwelled in the creative world all of his working life, with experience in graphic design, printing, advertising art direction, photography, and fine art.
From 1995 to 2009 he created lifestyle images with new cameras for Eastman Kodak Company.
With a Master’s degree in Visual Communication, John has taught design at The Ohio State University, and currently offers individual instruction in digital photography.
Other officers of the club are Chuck Palmer, Secretary and Newsletter; Gene Apicella, Treasurer; and Fred Mays, Public Relations.
Directors are Gordon Elwell, Membership; Pat Inforf, Competitions; Richard Thomson, Technology and National and Regional Competitions; and Peter Indorf, Field Trips.
The Club presents monthly programs for members with topics ranging from techniques, composition, and lighting, to history and presentation. The club also promotes photographic competitions encouraging all members to learn and grow their photographic skills.
Competitions are held monthly and at the end of each calendar year. Experienced photographers and program speakers judge each of these competitions.
The Camera Club of Brevard is open for membership to any photography enthusiast, regardless of skill level. The club meets monthly on the first Tuesday at the Eau Gallie Community Center in Melbourne.
