BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In January, Launch Learning Preschool opened its doors for the first time to enthusiastic families to participate in an active learning environment for the whole family.

Launch Learning is a legacy program of the Eastern Florida State College Lab School that commits to maintaining excellence in education and supporting families of young children in Brevard County, just as the Lab School had for over 55 years.

Launch Learning offers a unique approach to early childhood education through parent-involved educational programs for children ages six weeks to five years old, in addition to monthly parent education classes.

This dynamic program places an emphasis on play-based learning, social and emotional development, parent education, and community involvement.

“Our team is honored to carry the torch of helping grow confident families here on the Space Coast,” said Launch Learning Executive Director Jonnah Buchanan. “We have seen the Lab School mission fulfilled in so many families and are thrilled to be able to provide this asset to the next generation.”

On Saturday, February 25, Launch Learning will be opening its doors to the entire community from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. so families can experience all that Launch Learning has to offer.

Launch Learning Preschool is a nonprofit organization located on Merritt Island, south of 520 on Courtenay Parkway. It was established as a nonprofit to create an organizational model that welcomes community ownership and sustainability, bringing life to the community for generations to come.

The grand opening event will have free crafts, face painting, bouncy houses, kiddie carnival games, and guest appearances by characters from Paw Patrol.
