SpaceX is preparing to launch its first Falcon Heavy rocket in more than a year and a half. SpaceX is targeting Monday, April 27, for a Falcon Heavy launch of the ViaSat-3 F3 mission to geosynchronous transfer orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The 85-minute launch window opens at 10:21 a.m. ET.
BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA – SpaceX has announced it is standing down from today’s planned Falcon Heavy launch of the Viasat-3 F3 mission due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Officials confirmed the rocket and payload remain in good health, with no technical issues reported. The delay comes as weather concerns prevented a safe launch within the scheduled window.
A new target launch date will be announced once it is confirmed.
