Satellite Beach Police Commander Bert Berrios Retires After 24 Years of Dedicated Service

Satellite Beach Police Commander Bert Berrios has retired after 24 years of dedicated service to the community. Commander Berrios was hired by the Satellite Beach Police Department in November of 1999. In 2001 he was promoted to Corporal, followed by Sergeant in 2002, Staff Sergeant in 2005, Lieutenant in 2006, and Commander in 2013. (Satellite Beach PD image)

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Satellite Beach Police Commander Bert Berrios has retired after 24 years of dedicated service to the community.

Commander Berrios was hired by the Satellite Beach Police Department in November of 1999.

In 2001 he was promoted to Corporal, followed by Sergeant in 2002, Staff Sergeant in 2005, Lieutenant in 2006, and Commander in 2013.

Before joining the Satellite Beach Police Department, Commander Berrios was a member of the United States Air Force assigned to Patrick Air Force Base.

He served his country for 20 years and retired in 1998 with the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Rank of Master Sergeant.
