Titusville Man Shot Dead at Residence on Palmetto Street, Police Search for Shooter

Melbourne Police have released the identity of the shooting victim of a fatal shooting that happened late Wednesday night at a UMart convenience store at 653 E. University Blvd.

BREVARD COUNTY, TITUSVILLE• FLORIDA – Titusville police officials announced on Monday that they are conducting a homicide investigation that resulted in a man being shot dead early this morning on Palmetto Street.

Police responded to the report of a shooting at a residence around 3:30 a.m., located on the 600 block of Palmetto Street, on Monday, April 24.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was found by responding officers in the home with an apparent gunshot wound(s),” said a TPD spokesperson.

“The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity will be released once the next of kin has been properly notified.”

According to TPD, the suspect(s) are still at large and believed to have known the victim. This homicide investigation remains ongoing and more details will be released.
