'Smuggles The Kitten' rescued after found inside vehicle's engine compartment

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County is so safe that everyone wants to live here including a kitten who secretly hid in one of our patrol cars so he could sneak across the Orange County line in hopes of living safely in Brevard.
The stowaway was discovered earlier today by Corporal Sly Harris, who was driving back from Orange County and kept hearing an odd noise coming from the engine compartment of his patrol unit.
Unable to identify the sound, Cpl. Harris took his unit to Fleet Maintenance where our mechanics found a kitten hiding near the front bumper.
Agents from our Animal Services Special Victim’s Unit, who were called to the scene to investigate the illegal crossing of the Brevard County line, attempted to interview the kitten who refused to cooperate and actually hissed at the Agents as they attempted various interview techniques.
After exhausting every effort to obtain information from the kitten, including its name, our Agents booked him into our Animal Care Center under the alias of “Smuggles The Kitten.”

And as for Corporal Harris, yeah he has his own set of issues to deal with as well, as our Internal Affairs team is investigating him for suspicion of kitten smuggling across county lines, which of course is a violation of the Federal Kitten Act of 1923.
On a serious note, thanks to our Fleet Maintenance Team and our Animal Services Team, “Smuggles” is doing great and all charges for sneaking across county lines have been dropped against him by the State Attorney who always stands up for Claw and Order.
“Smuggles” is on a 5 day hold at the Care Center and once he is processed, is looking forward to living the remainder of his life, safe and sound with his new family in Brevard County.
Great Job Fleet and Animal Services.
