BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Boardriders Surfing Club recently placed second at the U.S. Board Riders National Championship held in San Clemente, California.
The Club participated in three qualifying events over the course of one year. They scored enough points to qualify for the Florida Cup, which was held in Flagler Beach. They won the Florida Cup, which sent them to the National Tournament.
According to the president of the Space Coast Boarders Club, Mason Sapp, “We are hoping to go to Australia in January and represent the Space Coast in the Usher Cup.”
The hope for the Club is to participate in this prestigious International Tournament. They are waiting for word from the selection committee to see if that comes to fruition.
