BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Staff Sgt. Jacob McKague and Paul Bartholdson, 920th Logistics Readiness Squadron rescue riggers, examined the sling load during sling load training at Patrick Space Force Base.
A sling load is used to transport various types of cargo to remote locations or to expedite shipments into austere environments while suspended beneath the HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter.
The process involves precise coordination between the aircrew and ground crew to load and unload cargo safely.
