Florida Tech Panthers Men’s Cross Country to Begin New Season at the Lakeland Fire Invitational

Sunshine State Conference will hold championships on Oct. 21

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech men’s cross-country team has released its schedule for the Fall 2023 season under the direction of Head Coach Marc Small.
“I’m ready to kick off the new season of Florida Tech cross country,” Small commented.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to step into a new role as a head coach while working alongside Coach Mazzone as he helps lead our scholar-athlete runners with his years of experience. We have a solid group of men and a very competitive schedule ahead, but we look forward to the challenge and expect an awesome season”.
The Panthers will begin their season in Lakeland for the Fire Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 7:20 a.m.
After a weekend off, Tech then journeys up I-95 to Daytona Beach on Sept. 16 where they will go up against Embry-Riddle at 7:20 AM.
The Crimson and Gray then travel to Tallahassee for the Florida State XC Invite on Friday, Sept. 29, and is scheduled to begin at 7:40 AM.
The following weekend, Saturday, Oct. 7, the University of Alabama-Huntsville will host its UAH Charger Invite in Huntsville, Alabama. The race is set to start at 8:00 a.m.
The Sunshine State Conference will then hold its championships on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8:30 AM in Lakeland.
